Safe Streets. Safe Parks. Neighbors First.

A 26-year-old man was shot in the back and killed Sunday night at Kosciuszko Park. No one is in custody.

Kids play at Kosciuszko Park. Families walk through it every evening. Logan Square residents should not have to accept deadly violence in a neighborhood park as normal.

Every family deserves to feel safe in their own park and on their own block. That requires a City Hall that treats public safety seriously—and neighbors who are willing to stand up and demand better.

The Urban Center is organizing area residents to do exactly that.
